Located in Whitehaven, we house 156 patient beds. Our administrators, clinicians and other staff members are all dedicated to compassionate, personalized, quality care for you and your loved ones.

Planning Your Visit

Methodist South Hospital is located at 1300 Wesley Drive, Memphis, TN, 38116. Patients and visitors can park in the East, West and Medical Office Complex parking lots.

You can also access Methodist South Hospital through the Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) on Route 42.

Visiting hours at Methodist South Hospital are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Patients can have one visitor stay overnight in their rooms — except for patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Methodist South Hospital strives to offer a safe, secure environment to our patients, staff and visitors. Each night, we lock all hospital doors from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The only unlocked entrance is the one to the Emergency Department.

When leaving our hospital, you may request a security officer to escort you to your car. To do so, call 901-516-3838 or dial “0” on a hospital phone and ask the hospital operator for assistance. For your safety, these security services are available 24 hours a day.

Our Dining Room is located in the main hospital at the basement level and features snacks, drinks, grill items and a salad bar. The dining room is open:

  • Monday to Friday: 6:30 to 9 a.m. (breakfast), 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (lunch/dinner)
  • Saturday and Sunday: 7 to 9 a.m. (breakfast), 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (lunch)

Snacks and drink machines are on the first floor. Nearby restaurants available when you need something outside our business hours include:

  • American Deli
  • D’bo’s Daiquiris, Wings, and Seafood
  • Eggxactly Breakfast & Deli
  • Marlowe’s Ribs & Restaurant
  • Muggin Coffeehouse

If you need to visit a patient or receive treatment for an extended period, the following hotels are close to Methodist South Hospital:

  • Days Inn by Wyndham
  • Guest House at Graceland
  • Holiday Inn Express & Suites Memphis
  • Memory Lane Inn & Suites Memphis

We want your time at Methodist South Hospital to be as comfortable and convenient as possible. To that end, we have a variety of amenities on-site:

  • ATM: An ATM is in the main hospital lobby on the first floor.
  • Chapel and Family Care Center: Respite and encouragement are available at Methodist South Hospital’s chapel and Family Care Center. Both are in the main hospital lobby of the first floor.
  • Gift Shop: Located inside the main hospital lobby, our shop is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Internet Access: Free Wi-Fi is available to Methodist North Hospital visitors. When connecting, choose the GUEST network. You’ll then be prompted to accept our terms and conditions. Internet connections automatically time out after eight hours of inactivity. To reconnect, simply choose GUEST again and agree to our terms and conditions.
