Cancer Support

There are numerous support groups and helplines available to patients and their families. The Methodist Cancer Center also has information on several local cancer support groups. Click here to download a printable PDF version of our FACES (Families Adapting to Cancer through Education and Support) brochure, where you will find helpful information and resources for finding support in the hospital, the community, or nationally.

The Methodist Cancer Center is proud to be involved with several area support groups, including Reach to Recovery, the Cancer Survivors Network, and more. For more information on finding support in your area, please call the Cancer Center at 901.516.2579.

Memphis Regional Brain Tumor Support Group

This support group is sponsored by the Methodist Healthcare Foundation and is dedicated to keeping members informed about treatment options, research and new therapies. Through education and awarness, we can assist in increasing and strengthening family support, and help participants learn how to decrease feelings of isolation through group involvement. This, in turn, will enhance the quality of life for all who are affected by this disease.

The group meets from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month. Meetings are held at:

Colonial Park United Methodist Church

5330 Park Ave.
Memphis, TN 38119

There is no fee for the meeting, but registration is requested. Contact Cherry Welborn or call 901.757.0806 to register.

Transplant Support

Living Kindly is a support group for post transplant patients, listed transplant candidates, donors and their family members and caregivers. The group currently meets the second Thursday of each month in Stratton Audtorium beginning at 3:30 p.m., with a medication education session beginning at 3 p.m. Call 901.516.7599 for more information.
