Kathy Barnes is the Vice President /Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital.
She came to Methodist Germantown from SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital, a 525-bed academic teaching facility, in St. Louis where she most recently served as the administrative director of nursing operations. Other leadership positions she has held included the interim chief nursing officer and director, critical care services.
Barnes has been an adjunct professor in the Webster University graduate program. She earned her BSN and Masters of Science in Nursing from St. Louis University, and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Union University. Barnes is a board certified nurse executive by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a Magnet appraiser for the American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Recognition Program.
