Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare Names Tina Haskins Smith SVP/Chief Information Officer

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare recently announced the appointment of Tina Haskins Smith to senior vice president and chief information officer, bringing wide-ranging and valuable insight to the $2 billion integrated healthcare system.

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare has named Tina Haskins Smith senior vice president and chief information officer. Haskins Smith will be responsible for leading and executing information technology functions across the Methodist Le Bonheur system, as well as patient-and employee-facing digital transformation initiatives including the implementation of new a medical health record system and a human capital management system in 2024.

With her extensive experience in IT, including 20 years in healthcare, Haskins Smith brings wide-ranging and valuable insight to the systems, strategies, processes and data necessary to maintain the Memphis-based healthcare system’s position as a leader in healthcare.

Before joining Methodist Le Bonheur, Haskins Smith served as Seattle Children’s Hospital’s associate vice president and chief applications officer. Prior to Seattle Children’s Hospital, she served as assistant vice president, Epic enterprise applications and Epic project director at Cook Children’s Healthcare System in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Haskins Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Amberton University. In addition, she completed CIO training at the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and Leadership Strategies for Information Technology in Health Care from the Harvard School of Public Health. Haskins Smith is currently a first cohort member of Health Information and Management Systems Society’s CIO Connect Program.
