Otolaryngology — head and neck surgery — focuses on the overall care of the ear, nose and throat (ENT).
Our team of otolaryngologists are specially trained in the medical and surgical management of disorders and diseases of the sinuses, larynx (voice box), pharynx (upper mouth/throat) and other related structures of the head and neck. Our physicians use a hands-on approach to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, while tailoring treatments specific to your needs.
Areas of Expertise:
Head and Neck Tumors: Cancerous and benign tumors of the throat, tonsil, tongue, voice box, thyroid gland, and salivary gland (parotid gland and submandibular gland). In addition, the otolaryngologist manages complex skin cancers (squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma) and melanoma of the head and neck region.
Otology/Neurotology: Disorders and diseases of the ear that affect hearing, balance, skull base and other structures of the head and neck. Conditions treated include vertigo, chronic ear infections, ear and skull base tumors, hearing loss and ringing in the ears.
Rhinology: Diseases that affect the nasal and sinus cavity. Conditions treated include: chronic sinusitis, nasal blockage, deviated septum, inferior turbinate hypertrophy, nasal allergy and benign and inflammatory diseases of the sinonasal cavity.
Laryngology: Disorders that affect the voice and contribute to swallowing and airway problems. Conditions treated include: hoarseness, voice tremors, vocal cord paralysis, and swallowing disorders.
Sleep Disorders: Disorders include snoring, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), insomnia, restless leg syndrome, excessive daytime sleepiness, and poor sleep hygiene.
