Methodist's Transplant Institute to Host Screening of Burden of Genius Film

The Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare Transplant Institute team is hosting a special screening of the documentary film "Burden of Genius" that shares the journey of Dr. Thomas Starzl, who is known as the “Father of Transplantation.”

Physicians, caregivers, patients, families, and supporters are invited to support the Transplant Institute through a sponsorship or by purchasing tickets to the screening event. 

The event will take place Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the Malco Paradiso and will include a reception for sponsors and their guests at 6:30pm, followed by the film screening at 7:15pm. 

Supporters can attend the event by signing on as an event sponsor or purchasing an individual ticket.

Sponsorship levels begin at $250 and include event tickets, invitation to the pre-screening reception with drinks and food, and recognition in promotions and at the event. 

Proceeds benefit the Transplant Institute to help provide life-saving organ transplantation to every patient who needs it, while also addressing the holistic needs of patients and their families through social support resources and participating in clinical trials and innovative research. 

Attendees are encouraged to wear blue and green attire to celebrate Donate Life Month.
