Foundation to Host First Supper for Sickle Cell

Adding to National Sickle Cell Awareness Month, which takes place in September, the Methodist Healthcare Foundation will host the first annual Supper for Sickle Cell event, featuring a "Family Night" theme.

On September 29th from 6-7pm, ticket holders and sponsor guests will be able to join Chef Eli Townsend for a live, virtual cooking instruction to prepare a family-friendly, home-cooked meal.

In addition to cooking fun, the event will highlight the work of the Sickle Cell Center, including the Transition Clinic that Methodist operates in collaboration with St. Jude Children's Hospital to transition young adult patients into adult care.

Household tickets are available for $50. Sponsorships are available from $250 and include multiple household tickets and donor recognition.

The event and Methodist's month-long Sickle Cell Awareness activities are presented by Orion FCU

All event proceeds will benefit the Methodist Healthcare Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center.
