If you are experiencing severe or sudden symptoms, have been involved in an accident, or are experiencing severe reactions, please visit the nearest emergency room at Methodist Le Bonheur or dial 911 for immediate assistance.


Why Visit the Emergency Room

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms you should go directly to the emergency room or call 911 for immediate assistance. 

  • Chest Pain
  • Severe Abdominal Pain
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Head injury resulting in a loss of consciousness
  • Sudden dizziness, weakness or loss of coordination or balance
  • Sudden blurred vision
  • Numbness in the face, arms or legs
  • Sudden, severe headache
  • Bleeding that won’t stop
  • Coughing up or vomiting blood
  • Severe Burns
  • Seizures

    For Other Illnesses or Injuries

    If your illness or injury is not life-threatening or severe, or if you are experiencing symptoms similar to a cold, flu, nausea or bodily injuries such as sprains or scrapes, please visit a minor medical location.
