Methodist & BookNook to Host Community Backpack Giveaway!

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, the Methodist Healthcare Foundation and BookNook have partnered again to host a Back to School Backpack Giveaway on Saturday, July 30, 2022. 

Support from BookNook and corporate partners enabled the Foundation to give out 1,500 backpacks filled with school supplies to Memphis and Shelby County families with elementary-age students! 

Backpacks were distributed in a drive-through process in front of Shorb Tower at Methodist University Hospital (east of the intersection of South Bellevue and Eastmoreland Avenue).

The Back to School event was open to the community and ended once all backpacks were distributed. Methodist and the Foundation were proud to again host this event, understanding how important access to school supplies is for many students and families in our community.
