Giving is Personal
As a family founded, owned, and operated Memphis business for over 50 years, ampro Industries, Inc. and the company’s Chairman, Cheri Rudner, and her husband, CEO Henry Rudner, are deeply committed to giving back to their community.
In 2017, Cheri and Henry attended Methodist Healthcare Foundation’s Cancer Center Luncheon where they learned about the disparity in breast cancer mortality impacting African American women in Memphis and the need for funding to cover the cost of preventive mammography screenings.
“As a Memphis company, ampro is passionate about addressing the needs and challenges faced by our community. So, we made a gift to cover the cost of 100 mammography screenings,” explained Henry.
The Rudners’ passion for this cause is personal. In 1993, following her annual breast screening, Cheri was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent cancer treatment, had a double mastectomy, and today she is cancer-free.
“From our family’s experience, we know how important preventive screenings are for early detection and treatment. We are grateful to be able to partner with Methodist in this way to ensure that all women in our community can access life-saving preventive screenings,” shared Henry.
