Our host this year is Kier "Junior" Spates, an Emmy-nominated writer, comedian and philanthropist best known as a co-host of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Kier’s successful career in entertainment has provided a platform for a cause near and dear to him. Diagnosed at the age of seven, Kier is a dedicated and nationally recognized Sickle Cell Warrior.

He founded Kier's Hope Foundation, which provides education, resources and support to individuals and families affected by the disease.

Alongside clinic staff, Kier will share his personal story and highlight the Center's efforts to strengthen the care, resources and support available to people living with sickle cell disease across Memphis and the Mid-South.

This event benefits the Methodist Healthcare Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center and proceeds will be used to address the holistic needs of our patients to help them live longer and healthier lives.
