The Living Well Network Mental Health Breakfast brings together mental health professionals, community and business leaders and community members to raise awareness, share and learn about the importance of mental health care.
Following the breakfast and keynote address, attendees will be invited to participate in an educational breakout session. CEU hours will be available for participation in both the keynote presentation and breakout session.
This year's event will feature a keynote address by U.S. Army Veteran and Mindfulness and Meditation Advocate Tom Voss.
Voss's PTSD healing journey has included completing a 2,700-mile trek from Milwaukee to Los Angeles. His journey was documented in the film, "Almost Sunrise," which aired on PBS and was nominated for an Emmy Award. Voss is an advocate for the use of mindfulness and meditation in aiding PTSD recovery, and he has co-authored a book on the subject.
Past speakers include Sean Astin, Joe Pantoliano, Ray McElrathbey, Marlee Matlin, Dan Harris and Patrick Kennedy.
Proceeds from the breakfast support the Dennis H. Jones Living Well Network, a resource to help individuals navigate depression, stress and other challenges of life.
