Our team includes licensed professional counselors and clinical social workers. All eligible counseling staff are Certified Employee Assistance Professionals (CEAP). This credential is recognized by employers, human resource professionals, and accrediting agencies as best practice standard in employee assistance.

Team Members

Renee Dillard

Renee Dillard, LCSW, CEAP, DMin

Director of EAP & Community Behavioral Health

Renee Dillard is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (licensed in TN, AR, and MS) and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP). A native Memphian, Renee earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Memphis State University, and Masters of Science in Social Work from The University of Tennessee. An Ordained Minister in the United Methodist Church, Renee earned her Masters of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary and completed her Doctor of Ministry studies in Faith and Health/Pastoral Therapy.

Renee has experience in behavioral health, community based social work, ministry, grief and loss, and nonprofit leadership. She is passionate about promoting healing and hope for individuals, families, and our community. Renee loves time with her family, meaningful conversations, getting lost in a good book, and exploring nature through a long walk on a beautiful day.

Shamicka Cannon, LCSW

Counselor

Shamicka Cannon, LCSW, is licensed in both Mississippi and Tennessee. She has been a dedicated mental health professional with over 13 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and adults. Shamicka received her master's degree in social work from Thee Jackson State University.

Throughout her career, Shamicka has served in a variety of clinical roles including therapist, behavioral specialist, and community support specialist across outpatient, school-based, and inpatient behavioral health settings. She is still committed to empowering individuals and families through skilled clinical support, advocacy, and a client-centered focus on wellness and resilience.

Shamicka enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and reading.


LaNita Conley

LaNita Conley, LMSW

Behavioral Health Screener

LaNita Conley is a Licensed Master’s Social Worker. She received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Memphis. She has experience working with under privileged families as a case manager and with the adult population while working as a medical social worker. She likes to spend her spare time with her family and experimenting in the kitchen.


Jared+Davis+EAP

Jared Davis, LPC-MHSP, NCC

Counselor

Jared Davis is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Mental Health Services Provider designation. He received both his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and his Master’s degree in Counseling with a concentration in Couples/Marriage and Family Counseling in addition to his Individual Counseling training from East Tennessee State University. Jared has experience counseling children, teens, adults, and geriatric clients in inpatient and outpatient facilities. He has worked with clients with a wide scope of mental health issues, personality disorders, and substance abuse issues. He works with clients to help them increase their self-awareness and broaden their perspectives as he walks through the therapeutic process with them. Jared has moved a lot due to being a “military brat,” but is glad to call Memphis home now. He enjoys spending time with his family, learning new languages, and traveling.


Marketa Hudson

Marketa Hudson, LCSW-CIMHP

Counselor

Marketa Hudson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional. She earned her bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Memphis and her master's degree in social work from Walden University. Marketa has over a decade of experience providing counseling to diverse populations, including adolescents, adults, and older adults, in settings such as schools, community programs, healthcare, and workplace wellness. A native Memphian, she is passionate about fostering holistic wellness by honoring the connection between spirit, mind and body. She specializes in helping individuals navigate challenges related to stress, anxiety, life transitions, and emotional well-being. Outside of work, Marketa enjoys healthy cooking, walking outdoors, and connecting with others through community activities and shared experiences.


Wayne Hyatt

Wayne Hyatt, LPC, CEAP, SAP

Counselor

Wayne received his Master’s Degree in Counseling from Memphis State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) and a Certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). He has over thirty-five years of experience in both clinical and administrative positions in the behavioral health field. Wayne has been active on the local, state and national level in consultation and training in substance abuse disorders treatment. In his spare time, he enjoys trout fishing in Arkansas and photography.

Taylor Johnson, PhD, LPC-MHSP

Counselor

Taylor Johnson is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a designation of Mental Health Service Provider. Taylor received her undergraduate degree and graduate degrees from the University of Memphis. Taylor has a Bachelor’s degree in Disability Studies and Rehabilitation Services, a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. Taylor has experience working with health science graduate students and medical residents and fellows. She has worked with clients with a wide range of mental health concerns including OCD, ADHD/neurodiversity, anxiety, depression, and work/life balance. Taylor is originally from Arkansas but has called Memphis home for the past six years. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time outside with her spouse and pup, and finding new and challenging things to bake.


Karole Shorter

Karole Shorter, LCSW, CEAP

Supervisor/Counselor

Karole Shorter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Employee Assistance Professional. Karole is licensed in Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas.  She is a member of the Employee Assistance Professional Association and active in the community. She has a bachelor’s degree in social work from Florida A & M University, and master’s degree in social work from Florida State University. Karole has counseled children and adults in outpatient settings for over twenty years, and was the Social Services Director for a nursing home in Florida before moving to Memphis with her family in 1999. She joined the EAP staff in 2006, and was promoted to EAP Supervisor in 2019. Karole enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and traveling.

Nathan Wade, LPC

Counselor

Nathan Wade is a licensed professional counselor, mental health service provider who has a Master of Science in professional counseling. He also received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice.

Nathan’s goal is to help those in his care by using the skills that he has picked up through education and past professional experiences. He has worked in a variety of settings including therapeutic foster care, behavioral health setting with children and adolescents, community-based addiction recovery, and private practice. He strives to support individuals, couples, and families to reach their goals of living healthier lives emotionally and spiritually.

Nathan has been in Memphis his whole life and currently lives here with his wife, child, and large cat Marcus. He is the author of one novel so far and plans to write at least two more. When not working, he is either traveling, at a concert/movie/play, reading, writing, or trying something new.


Allison White-Stewart

Allison White-Stewart, LCSW

Living Well Network Supervisor

Allison White-Stewart is Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Mississippi State University and her master’s degree in social work from Jackson State University. She has over 20 years of experience working with children and adults in a variety of settings including community mental health, school-based counseling, adult and juvenile justice, and therapeutic foster care. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
