Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare reaches agreement with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee.

We want to thank our community members whom we are privileged to serve for their patience over the past several months. Due to BlueCross BlueShield’s actions, we know it may have been difficult to access the physicians and services you’ve come to rely on.

We are pleased to share you are now able to return to the safest care provided in the region. We reached an agreement with BlueCross BlueShield regarding its employer-based and marketplace plans.

Your voice and stories were heard and made a difference in coming to a resolution. Thank you. We are eager to see you and offer the high-quality and safest care you deserve.

Official statement from Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare:

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare announced it has reached an agreement with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee (BCBST) regarding its employer-based and marketplace plans.

“We are pleased to have reached an agreement after months of advocating for the best interests our patients,” said Michael Ugwueke, president and CEO of MLH. “We look forward to continuing to provide the safest and highest quality care in the Mid-South community for all we are privileged to serve.”

Agreements on BlueCare Tennessee, TennCare Select, CoverKids and Dual Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) plans were previously reached in February 2023.
