Dr. Richard Pearson
Dr. Richard Pearson graduated first in his class at the University of Tennessee College of Engineering in 1966. He studied biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins University for a year before earning his medical degree at the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He served his internship at the City of Memphis Hospitals and his residency in surgery at Methodist Hospital. He trained as a resident in urology at the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Pearson is a former Director of the Urodynamics Laboratory at the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences, where he also served as an Assistant and then Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Urology. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Pearson is on the forefront of robotic partial nephrectomies, robotic pyeloplasties and minimally invasive renal surgery.
