Methodist Babies “Go Red” for National Wear Red Day

Posted on: February 01, 2018

Weighing in at 7.1 pounds, little Andrija, who was born at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital, may be tiny, but he’s sending a big message as he wears his red beanie in support of the American Heart Association’s Babies Go Red campaign to raise awareness among new parents that congenital heart defects are the most common type of birth defect, affecting one in 100 newborns each year.

Matthew and Slavka Cheng say they hope to raise their son to stand up for many good causes such as the American Heart Association that he’s supporting at just two days old.

Over at Methodist South Hospital, A’Mya Marie is also proud to support the American Heart Association’s Babies Go Red.
