Seth Warner is working towards earning his Eagle Scout rank. The Boy Scout raised $800 through donations to purchase supplies to make five picnic tables for Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital.
“My mother works at Methodist Germantown and I knew they didn’t have any place to eat outside. We have a lot of nice weather, and I thought people who work and visit the hospital would enjoy having an opportunity to eat outside.” said Warner.
The hospital placed the tables around the campus, giving patients and employees access to a quick break.
“We’re really excited to have the picnic tables Seth built,” said Laura Barden, community development director for Methodist Germantown. “The picnic tables offer our families a quick getaway with a change of scenery and fresh air that can really help them when they are facing health issues with a loved one. It also gives our staff a relaxing lunch option where they can come back recharged and ready to continue our mission of providing outstanding patient- and family-centered care.
Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital is a nationally recognized 319-bed, full service hospital.
