Prior to coming to Methodist, Dr. Khaled served as Program Director of the Bone and Marrow Transplant (BMT) Program at Florida Hospital in Orlando, Florida. During his tenure, he established the BMT program as the 2nd largest in the state, with survival outcomes from 2011 through 2014 that ranked in the top 10 percent nationally. Before leading the BMT program at Florida Hospital, Dr. Khaled served as the faculty member at the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Khaled has a strong interest in research, with more than 100 regional and national presentations on stem cell transplantation and multiple myeloma. Dr. Khaled’s expertise ranks in the top 5% of physicians in multiple myeloma as recognized by Expertscape, an international organization that ranks physicians in expertise areas based on number of publications.

A native Memphian, Dr. Chandler and his family returned to the Memphis area after he completed his fellowship with Ohio State University. Dr. Chandler and his wife have four children. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
