On Tuesday, January 26, Orion Federal Credit Union presented a $15,000 check to Mike Conley to benefit his charity of choice, the Methodist Healthcare Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center.
Mike Conley is a long-time supporter of the Methodist Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center and advocate for sickle cell patients and families in the MidSouth.
When Conley first moved to Memphis eight years ago, he identified the Methodist Sickle Cell Center as his philanthropic focus and launched the annual Bowl ‘N Bash fundraising event. In its 7th year, the 2015 Bowl ‘N Bash raised $110,000.
All proceeds from Bowl ‘N Bash as well as donations like Orion’s help ensure that all sickle cell patients receive the care they need regardless of their financial circumstances. The Center is Memphis’ first and only dedicated emergency infusion unit for sickle cell patients, and Methodist is committed to continuing to deliver treatment advances through on-site research.
