"Everyone Should Use Hospice Care — the Sooner, the Better"
Scott Fleming choked up when he remembered his family's experience with Methodist Hospice. His wife Liz was 54, the mother of three daughters and grandmother of a recently born set of triplets—and she was dying from bladder cancer.
Scott recounted that hospice was everything people said it would be. Barbara, their nurse, was gentle, firm, gracious, caring and patient. "She cared for Liz with love and attention and made all of it as tolerable as possible. She made it a comfortable and dignified process," he says. "She truly became a member of our family during those last days."
