<p>Spacious labor and delivery rooms are designed with the family in mind and equipped for the ultimate in privacy, infant safety and comfort. Natural light shines through in every patient room.</p>
<p>Keeping your baby in the room is a great way to become comfortable taking care of your new loved one. If necessary, the baby can spend a few hours in the <a href="/vgn-ext-templating/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=31e7d874043ad010VgnVCM1000000516a8c0RCRD">nursery</a>. </p>
<p>For those few babies who are very small, premature, or ill at birth, we have neonatologists and a highly trained staff in the <a href="/vgn-ext-templating/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=edc5d874043ad010VgnVCM1000000516a8c0RCRD">neonatal intensive care unit</a> (Level III NICU). Private neonatal intensive care rooms allow families to love and care for newborns together with highly trained intensivists. </p>
<p>Other features of the Women?s and Children?s Pavilion include:</p>

<li>All private adult labor, delivery and recovery rooms (LDRs), private ante-partum, post-partum and general medical/surgical patient rooms. Each room features a private bath with shower and includes a flat screen TV.</li>
<li>The patient?s support person is welcome to stay with their loved one and sleeper couches or chairs are available in each room.</li>
<li>A state-of-the-art infant security system safeguards families and closely monitors each infant</li>
<li>Private neonatal intensive care (NICU) rooms for single and multiple births allow families to stay with their newborn(s) around the clock and encourage maternal-infant bonding during extended stays.</li>
<li>The first of its kind in the Mid-South, a 24/7 board certified OB hospitalist is on staff for those rare times when the baby can?t wait and your doctor may not have arrived.</li>
<li>Visitors of new parents are welcome, allowing patients and loved ones flexibility.</li>
<li>Newborns are encouraged to room-in with mom, allowing the family to become comfortable taking care of their new loved one. A nursery is also available to allow parents to catch up on sleep after delivery.</li>
<li>The Women?s Boutique provides a wide selection of women?s health garments and support products for women of all ages.</li>
<li>An interfaith chapel and spiritual care services are available to nurture minds and spirits.</li>
<li>Patient and community education spaces and programs.</li>
