Whitehaven Farmer's Market Has Star Vendor

The Whitehaven Farmer’s Market, which is open every Monday, Noon – 6 pm until late October, is generating positive interest from the community and a regular stream of customers.

The Whitehaven Farmer’s Market located at Methodist South Hospital in front of the Medical Office Complex, 1300 Wesley Drive, is averaging about seven vendors a week, including support from Aryen Moore-Alston, a contestant on season 10 of “The Next Food Network Star.”  Aryen Moore-Alston, contestant on Season 10 of “The Next Food Network Star” displays her treats at Whitehaven Farmer’s Market while Methodist South material services manager Peggy Jenkins shows off her sweet potato purchase. Aryen is holding this month’s Good Health Memphis magazine which features her on the cover.

“I recently started coming to this market to sell my sweets to a different clientele,” said Aryen Moore-Alston. “I love Memphis and I’m glad that Methodist South is providing a variety of food options for the community.”

In addition to produce, you can also find treats from Aryen’s “Sweet Potato Baby” booth which contains fruits or vegetables in every bite. Learn more about her specialties by visiting the Farmer’s Market or sweetpotatobaby.co.
