Methodist South Hospital will host a fall health fair and family reunion on Saturday, September 28. The reunion is designed especially for all who were born or worked at the hospital since its doors opened in 1973. There will also be special recognition for past Associates, physicians and babies born at Methodist South.
“Methodist South Hospital has been in the Whitehaven community for 40 years,” said Dr. Jay Robinson, Methodist South Hospital CEO. “We hope to see many people who have supported the hospital’s existence come back and celebrate this great achievement with us.”
8:15 a.m. - 5K Run / 8:30 a.m. – Two- mile Health Walk
The 5K fun run and two-mile community walk will take place in the hospital’s surrounding neighborhoods. All participants will receive a free t-shirt (while supplies last).
9 a.m. - Noon – Health Fair
The Health Fair will be located in the parking lot directly across from the hospital and will feature a variety of vendors and health information. Blood pressure, glucose (blood sugar), cholesterol, and other health screenings will be available. Additionally, there will be games and activities for the kids, free giveaways, free healthy food (including Hawaiian shaved ice), music and a live radio remote.
