Whew! You've made it through the first three months – and morning sickness. The second trimester extends from the 13th to the 26th week of pregnancy. Your baby is growing and developing his or her features like fingers and toes, eyebrows and eyelashes. You are gaining weight, but you feel better. It is still important for you to keep informed about what is happening to you and your baby. Your doctor may perform certain prenatal tests to be sure your baby is developing properly. You will have some decisions you need to consider about your childbirth experience and about your baby. This is the time you want to register for childbirth classes and to pre-register at the hospital where you will deliver your baby. The middle months may seem easier on you, but it is still important to get good nutrition, exercise, and rest. The changes to your body are only temporary, and Dad may be experiencing pregnancy symptoms, too! Keep learning and staying active in your prenatal care. By the end of the second trimester, you will feel your baby move and hear your baby's heartbeat. Hold on! You are halfway there! Checklist for the Middle Months of Pregnancy:
