Neuroscience Institute

At our Neuroscience Institute, patients will find comprehensive services in one primary location at Methodist University Hospital. The institute includes cutting-edge services such as minimally invasive spine surgery, Gamma Knife for brain tumors, Image Guided surgery, PET Imaging and Neuro Critical Care. Methodist University Hospital is also home to a Level IV Epilepsy Center.
Transplant Institute
Nationally recognized for its success with kidney, liver, kidney-pancreas and pancreas transplants, Methodist University Hospital Transplant Institute has been a leader in the field for more than 30 years. The program offers hope to patients with conditions such as kidney failure, end-stage liver diseases such as cirrhosis, Hepatitis C and diabetes.

Cardiac Services
Methodist University Hospital is proud to offer comprehensive cardiac services, including an accredited chest pain center. The accreditation, awarded by the Society of Chest Pain Centers to Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown, Methodist North, Methodist South, and Methodist University hospitals, brings high-level cardiac care to patients in all corners of our community which is vitally important when treating heart attacks.
University Hospital also offers state-of-the-art technology, including the world's smallest heart pump, the Abiomed Impella 2.5 circulatory system. This system uses a tiny pump to take over the job of circulating blood from the heart to the rest of the body. This device is most appropriate for two types of patients: those who are desperately ill and those whose hearts are too weak to undergo interventional therapies such as stents or angioplasty to open blocked arteries.
