Sleep. An essential part of life, health and happiness. Yet millions of people are deprived of this most basic of functions and suffer the debilitating effects. The results of sleep disorders can affect the very quality of all aspects of life and health. The Methodist Sleep Disorders Center,  accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, is dedicated to alleviating the effects of sleep disorders and improving the sleeping lives of our patients.

 In our state-of-the-art facility, we provide diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care for more than 84 different sleep disorders for all age groups.

In 2006, the Methodist Healthcare Sleep Disorders Center was named Best Sleep Facility of the Year by ADVANCE Newsmagazines. Technologists at Methodist undergo an intense on-the-job mentoring program, and they are encouraged to become certified by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists. 

Sleep Disorder Indicators

How do you know if you have a sleep disorder? There are several indicators. Do you snore? Do you fall asleep while driving, stopped at a red light or while watching television? Are you sleeping during the day? Do you have high blood pressure? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you may have a sleep disorder. Use our Pre-Assessment/Screening Form and discuss the questionnaire with your doctor to determine if you may have a sleep-related breathing disorder.

The Sleep Disorders Center is conveniently located in East Memphis inside the White Station Tower. Each patient bedroom is designed to provide a calm, relaxing environment. Showers are available for patient convenience. Each bedroom comes complete with a bathroom, adjustable bed, cable television, DVD player, ceiling fan and custom lighting with dimmer capabilities.
