Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital is expanding to better serve our patients in the community! Construction plans include a 100-bed expansion on the southwest corner of our campus and the addition of a new parking deck. We plan to complete the expansion project in 2010. 24-hour Emergency Care for Children and Adults
Our Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Emergency Department features a Chest Pain Center, a dedicated area for those who need immediate help with chest pain and HeartSTAT, which allows patients to find out if they are having a heart attack faster than ever before. In addition to saving critical minutes for heart attack patients, HeartSTAT can completely eliminate a costly and unnecessary hospital admission for those patients who are ruled out for heart attack.
As part of the Le Bonheur Pediatric Emergency Network, the Emergency Department is specially staffed and trained to care for sick and injured children. It features a dedicated area with child-sized beds and equipment to care exclusively for children.
Cardiac Services
Methodist Germantown Hospital offers state-of-the-art cardiac services that include two dedicated Open Heart Surgical Suites, a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, a Cardiac Step-Down and Medical Unit, Inpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation and Cardiac Catheterization Labs. Friends and family members have access to a dedicated, comfortable area while waiting for their loved ones.
The latest in cardiac technology is available with the GE Innova 2000, which is the world’s first all-digital X-ray cardiovascular imaging system. State-of-the-art interventional imaging is also offered for peripheral vascular procedures including carotid stent interventions. Our cardiovascular services also include diagnostic testing such as Holter monitors, EKGs, echocardiograms and treadmills.
Maternity Center
At Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital's Maternity Center, every detail is designed to make the childbirth experience more comfortable, more private and more fulfilling. Labor and delivery rooms combine the comfort of home-like amenities with the sophistication and safety of the hospital. We also help you and your family prepare for your baby’s arrival with classes for parents. Board-certified neonatologists and a fully equipped Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit are available for premature and sick infants. Outpatient Rehabilitation Services
We offer outpatient rehabilitation services for physical, speech, and occupational therapy and help for those with urinary incontinence and pelvic disorders. We also offer Le Bonheur Rehabilitation Services for pediatric patients at this location. Outpatient rehabilitation is located on the Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown campus in Physician Office Building A on the north side of the hospital campus.
Outpatient Surgery
The Same Day Surgery Center inside the hospital and the Methodist Germantown Surgery Center on Germantown Road offer a wide array of testing services and outpatient surgery options.
Le Bonheur Pediatric Unit
The hospital has its own Le Bonheur Pediatric Unit with beds just for children. An experienced pediatric nursing staff works closely with pediatricians and pediatric specialists using Le Bonheur-developed protocols in caring for children. When children are diagnosed with dehydration, pneumonia, asthma or other ailments that require hospitalization, they can usually be admitted to the Germantown Le Bonheur Unit. Children with more critical illnesses or injuries are stabilized and sent to Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center.
