After you have been prepared for surgery, you will be taken to the operating room suite. At this time, we will ask that your family members wait in the front lobby. They will need to be present when your surgery is complete and you are ready to leave the recovery area.

The OR suite provides a safe and sterile environment for your surgery. Routine monitoring equipment, such as a blood pressure cuff and EKG equipment for heart monitoring, will be placed on you. Medications will be administered through the IV. Members of the surgical team will remain with you at all times. Your surgeon will communicate with your family or friends immediately after surgery or at your follow-up appointment.
