Health Choice is the exclusive managed care contracting organization for Methodist Healthcare, serving the Memphis and Mid-South area. Organized in 1985, this joint venture between MetroCare Physicians and Methodist Healthcare now provides one of the most comprehensive networks of hospitals, physicians, outpatient facilities, affiliated health care professionals and ancillary services in the Mid-South, serving the needs of more than 518,000 health plan members. Health Choice also offers technology solutions and support services in support of its mission to transform the healthcare delivery system in the Mid-South.

MetroCare Physicians is a non-profit Independent Practice Association (IPA) that includes physicians in West Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi and Missouri. MetroCare represents 44 of the major specialties recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties with more than 1,000 physician members. Metro Care also contracts with 250 other healthcare professionals including licensed social workers and psychologists.
