At Methodist University Hospital, our 46-bed neuro unit is located on the 4th and 9th floors of the Tower Wing, and is home to the largest Neuro Critical Care Unit in Memphis.
The 16-bed Neuro Critical Care unit along with the subsequent 8-bed step-down unit and 24-bed Neuro Floor are lead by a team of highly trained nurses and staff using the latest state-of-the-art technology and equipment. Utilizing the newest inter-cranial pressure monitoring devices, Diligent lift equipment and blood pressure monitors means more specialized care for each patient.
With 16 Certified Neuro-certified Registered Nurses dedicated to these areas along with the support of over 50 registered and licensed nurses, every member of our team is specially trained to work with neuro patients. The team also consists of case managers, social workers, physical therapists, dieticians and pharmacists dedicated to the Neuro units, as well as a full time Certified Neuro Registered Nurse Educator.
Methodist Alliance Health Services offers a wide array of in-home services for neuro patients. Specially-trained nurses will visit the patient and caregiver in the home to provide an assessment and treatment options. If specialized home medical equipment is necessary, Methodist Alliance will arrange for delivery and setup.
