Transplant Institute

Nationally recognized for its success with kidney, liver, kidney-pancreas and pancreas transplants, Methodist University Hospital Transplant Institute has been a leader in the field for more than 30 years. The program offers hope to patients with conditions such as kidney failure, end-stage liver diseases such as cirrhosis, Hepatitis C and diabetes by treating:

  • Kidney
  • Liver
  • Pancreas

The leading form of treatment for many types of end-stage organ failure, organ transplantation has saved and enhanced the lives of more than 300,000 people in the United States. Increased need has led to a rise in living donors and organ splitting. Living donation, transplanting all or part of an organ from a living person, has risen dramatically over the last few years.

Our Transplant Institute in Memphis, partnering with the University of Tennessee, the program is dedicated to improving the quality of life and the life expectancy for its organ transplant patients through research breakthroughs, excellence in surgical techniques and meticulous post-operative care.
