Our partnership with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center brings the best of academic medicine to the forefront of everyday medicine. Medical breakthroughs are discovered through basic and clinical research. Some of the country's leading doctors are trained by accomplished faculty that also serve on our medical staff.
The Medical Education Research Institute, just around the corner from Methodist University Hospital, is the hands-on training facility for doctors from around the world to learn the latest in surgical techniques. In 2007, MERI was selected to host four courses for the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS). These courses, designed to educate residents, will include training on minimally invasive spine surgery and endovascular techniques, as well as pediatric and fundamentals of the spine review. For more information about the schedule and topics, please call 901.516.2339.
Our Continuing Medical Education program offers a wide variety of highly-regarded conferences designed to enhance the performance of physicians in all disciplines. From review conferences specifically designed for the primary care physician to multi-specialty seminars and surgical skills workshops, our conferences consistently receive high ratings from attendees.
