Michael Farmer, M.D.

Michael Farmer, M.D. was Chief Resident in radiation oncology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, one of the first programs in the country for stereotactic radiation body therapy. He participated in the national liver metastasis trial and institutional research at Wake Forest using the technology.

Dr. Farmer is paving the way in research by developing the standard treatment and protocols for the procedure. He performed his transitional medicine internship at St. John's Mercy Medical Center and received his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
 
His work has been published in journals such as the International Journal of Radiation Oncology and International Journal of Gastrointestinal Cancer.
Dr. Farmer is a resident member of the Radiologic Society of North America, the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the Radiation Research Society and the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology.

Holger Gieschen, M.D.

Holger Gieschen, M.D., is the Medical Director for Radiation Oncology at Methodist Healthcare and Assistant Professor with the University of Tennessee School of Medicine

Dr. Gieschen performed his internship at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. and finished his residency at the Medical College of Virginia. He is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiation Oncology and the American College of Radiology.

Dr. Gieschen's special interests include brachytherapy, prostate cancer, skin cancer, ENS tumor and partial breast irradiation.
