Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare had pledged to build a residential hospice for anyone who needs our care. To build the hospice residence, however, will require help and money from our community. The total cost of our hospice residence is $9 million. We have taken the first step by pledging three million as part of our commitment to living the principles of the United Methodist Church, which includes faithful care of the dying. The Methodist Healthcare Foundation has launched an effort to raise the balance required. The facility, once built, will be operated by Methodist Hospice and will be self-sufficient. Each one of us should be able to face the end of life with choices, with comfort and with dignity. It is our hope and prayer that you will join us, with your financial support, in creating a place of shelter for those at the end of life.
