The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a professional counseling service provided at no cost to the employees of companies contracting for EAP services. The EAP provides confidential help for employees and eligible family members (legal dependents) who may need a professional to talk to about dealing with day-to-day concerns or during difficult times. It is often the first step toward problem solving. EAP counselors have a master's degree and are certified licensed professionals.
