Rene Davila, M.D. Dr. Rene Davila joined the Hepatology staff July 1999 after finishing his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Stanford University Medical Center. Jaquelyn Fleckenstein, M.D. Also a trained hepatologist with an interest in cirrhosis, Dr. Jaquelyn Fleckenstein joined the staff of UT Hepatology Group in 1997. She trained in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at The Johns Hopkins University and remained on the faculty there for two years before coming to UT Bowld/Methodist University Transplant Institute. She has special interest in GI endoscopy and clinical research in transplantation. Satheesh Nair, M.D. Dr. Nair joined the Transplant Institute as Director of Hepatology in 2006. Prior to joining Methodist University Hospital Transplant Institute, Dr. Nair was the Medical Director of Liver Transplantation at Oschner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans. He is a member of UT Medical Group, Inc., and is an associate professor of Medicine at UTHSC. Mankanwal S. Sachdev, M.D. Since joining the Transplant Institute team at Methodist University Hospital in 2004, Dr. Mankanwal Sachdev, has played a critical role by sharing his extensive knowledge of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and the treatment of Liver diseases with his fellow physicians and Transplant Institute patients.
