Methodist Healthcare is home to the most comprehensive stereotactic radiosugery program in the Mid-South. As part of our Neuroscience Institute, we use state-of-the-art Gamma Knife technology and the newest form of radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiation therapy. Our program is led by world-renowned neurosurgeons and radiation oncologists who are at the forefront of non-invasive procedures to destroy benign and malignant tumors.

Because of the accuracy of both the Gamma Knife and stereotactic body radiation therapy, neurosurgeons and radiation oncologists can treat tumors that were unable to be treated before because of location or other factors. The treatment is so precise that is destroys abnormal tissue while leaving the healthy body tissue intact.
