I’d like to pick your brain...
An interview with Dr. LaVerne Lovell
BrainStorm Online: What do you like most about practicing in Memphis at the Methodist University Hospital – Neuroscience Institute?
Dr. LaVerne Lovell: Methodist University Hospital is an outstanding facility with exciting new technology and state-of-the-art equipment, allowing for the best in patient care.
BSO: If you were a referring physician, is there anything unique about the MUH-NI that you would want to know?
LL: Our dedication to service is reflected in all the little ways we try to welcome patients. For example, patients referred from over 100 miles away are invited to stay in-house the night before surgery.
BSO: Have you performed any particularly interesting surgeries lately?
LL: Yes, I recently performed a new percutaneous lumbar fusion technique on two patients.
BSO: What is new and exciting in the field of spine surgery?
LL: The Axial IF screw for L5-S fusions is really going to be a great thing for patients.
BSO: What should other physicians know about you?
LL: Because I am fully-trained and experienced in the latest spinal instrumentation and surgical procedures, I can skillfully care for their most serious patients.
