Tuition Assistance

At Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare (MLH), we encourage our Associates to expand their knowledge and skills through a variety of development programs. We are committed to helping our Associates learn and grow throughout their careers. Full- and part-time Associates are encouraged to participate in our tuition assistance program.

Undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs may be covered. From the bedside to the boardroom, our Associates have the opportunity to achieve their personal and professional career quests.


Undergraduate level assistance requirements:

  • At least three months continuous full-time and part-time service
  • Current performance must meet or exceed expectations
  • Courses directly related to your current job
  • Courses providing knowledge and/or skills for a job that is needed in the company and currently classified on the pay plan, and
  • Courses for a degree program that is required for a job that is needed in the company


Graduate or doctoral level assistance requirements:

  • At least three months of continuous full-time or part-time service
  • Current performance must meet or exceed expectations
  • Only graduate courses leading to graduate degrees
  • A projected date for degree completion is required
  • Approval required from responsible senior vice president and Human Resources


For all courses, reimbursement is 100 percent for full- and part-time Associates at University of Memphis rates. Eligible Associates can request advance tuition.

Applications for tuition assistance should be submitted to the department director for approval before enrolling for class. These applications are available in the Human Resources department.
