The 200-bed facility, serving south Memphis and north Mississippi, is an acute care satellite hospital, the first of its kind in Memphis.

The level II emergency department is certified by Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center as part of the Pediatric Emergency Network to treat children's emergencies. The Methodist South dialysis unit is one of the busiest units in Memphis and treats more than 100 patients each year, performing nearly 11,000 treatments annually.
