At Methodist Fayette Hospital, we're a small hospital with a big heart and a lot to offer. It's a place where Associates don't just treat the patient, they treat the family as well.

Don't be fooled by our small town atmosphere. We have many services typically not offered at a community hospital, such as oncology, diagnostic, cardiology, urology and nephrology services.

With 700 visits a month, our emergency room provides quick, efficient care to the residents of Fayette and other counties in west Tennessee and north Mississippi. We have the fastest treatment delivery time of all the hospitals in the Methodist Healthcare system and have been rated one of the best emergency room facilities in West Tennessee.

We have tremendous community support from Fayette County residents and officials. As Somerville's first and only hospital, we opened in 1972 as Fayette County General Hospital. In November 1981, Methodist leased it from the county and changed the name to Methodist Hospital of Somerville.

In September 1985, Methodist Healthcare purchased the hospital. With full support of the Methodist Healthcare system, the hospital has become a state-of-the-art facility.
