Delivering health care with love and compassion is a tradition at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center. Serving 95 counties in more than six states, it is the only hospital in the Mid-South dedicated to the care and treatment of children.

The hospital has 1,700 Associates and has 560 members on its medical staff, all committed to providing special attention and care to their patients. Thanks to the overall commitment of the people who work there, Le Bonheur has received an international reputation as a healing center for children from birth to age 21.

Le Bonheur is a 225-bed general acute care children's hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. Founded in 1952, it offers 45 pediatric specialties and the emergency department treats more than 69,000 patients a year.

At the urging of the medical community, Le Bonheur Club members, Memphis women who sewed clothes for the children of Leath Orphanage, raised money to fund a children's hospital. Le Bonheur opened June 1952.
