Knowing that faith and healing go hand-in-hand, Methodist Healthcare offers the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program.
Through intense involvement with persons in need and feedback from peers and teachers, students develop new awareness of themselves and of the needs of those to whom they minister. From theological reflection on specific human situations, they gain a new understanding of ministry.
The program also offers educational training and resources to the Mid-South community. Our chaplaincy staff conducts workshops, seminars and worship services for area churches, civic and community organizations on a variety of topics including:
Our Health and Welfare Ministries division offers the Pastor's Clinic, an executive physical, assessment and education program for clergy and spouses. We also participate in the Annual Church and Health Symposium each September and are accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc.
