CANCER CENTER LUNCHEON

The 8th annual Methodist Cancer Center Luncheon was held on November 20, 2009 at the Peabody Hotel and featured Academy Award-winning actress and native Memphian, Kathy Bates. Kathy, a multi-talented actress and director with a career spanning several decades, enthralled the audience with reflections on her career and her own battle with cancer.

Proceeds from the luncheon benefited the Methodist Hospice Residence. This state-of-the-art facility will address a long-awaited need in the community by providing care for the physical and spiritual well-being of the terminally ill and their families.

Previous Cancer Center Luncheon speakers include Tom Brokaw, Julie Andrews, Queen Noor of Jordan, Barbara Bush, and many more.
