Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare has entered into an agreement with Carvel Imaging to purchase its centers in Southaven and Olive Branch, Miss. effective February 18, 2008.  The arrangement will be a joint venture between Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare and Memphis Radiological Professional Corp.

“Carvel Imaging has a great reputation in the communities it serves,” said Mitch Graves, President, Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare’s Affiliated Services Division.  “We want to continue that high level of customer service.”

Dr. Lynn Carvel said she’s proud to be able to enter into an agreement with Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare. 

“This will be a tremendous plus for the citizens and employers of North Mississippi, and I know that our patients and the physicians who refer to us will be in great hands,” she said. 

Methodist is increasing its presence in North Mississippi, having recently announced a March opening for a minor medical center for adults, an urgent care center for children and a sleep disorders center at 5480 Goodman Road in Olive Branch.

“We are excited about bringing our services to DeSoto county,” said Graves. “This is another step Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is taking to make health care easily accessible to our patients now and into the future.”

Methodist also continues to work toward building a hospital in Olive Branch.
