William Kenley, CEO and administrator of Methodist North Hospital has been appointed president of the Memphis chapter of the Tennessee Hospital Association (THA). Established in 1938, THA is a not-for-profit association that serves as an advocate for hospitals, health systems and other healthcare organizations and the patients they serve. It also promotes and represents the interests of all health careers, hospitals and health systems and informs the public about hospitals and healthcare issues at the state and national levels. Kenley joined Methodist Healthcare in 2004. Prior to joining Methodist Healthcare, he was the president and chief executive officer of NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, Tenn., and administrator and chief executive officer of Norton Community Hospital in Norton, Va. Kenley holds a master's degree in health administration from Duke University and a bachelor of science degree from Radford University. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a member of the Medical Group Management Association. He serves as the chairman of both the budget and finance committee and the solutions group for the Tennessee Hospital Association.
