Methodist South Hospital has opened a new Comprehensive Wound Healing Center located in the Medical Office Complex, 1251 Wesley Drive, Suite 107, across from the hospital in Whitehaven.

Formerly located on Union Avenue in Midtown Memphis, the center closed last summer and has now been relocated to this expanded area, along with services that had already been offered at Methodist South.  The new space features 12 treatment rooms, larger hallways and expanded parking for patients. 

“We have a large number of patients with wound care issues,” said Dr. Michael Ugwueke, CEO of Methodist South Hospital.  “It will be an invaluable resource to have these expanded services in this community.”

Medical Director Dr. Sam Delk, said volume continues to increase in wound care cases largely due to patients with diabetes and peripheral vascular disease.  "It's so nice to have this beautiful new space because we were seeing 295 patients a month and since August, we see nearly 665 patients each month."
