The Methodist Breast Center recently received the Breast Imaging Center of Excellence from the American College of Radiology (ACR). To achieve this distinction, a breast center must be certified in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy. The Methodist Breast Center is one of only three breast centers in the Memphis area to earn the Center of Excellence designation.

“We are very pleased to achieve this distinguished accreditation from the American College of Radiology,” said William Kenley, CEO, Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital. “Our associates are committed to providing the highest level of patient care.”

This prestigious accomplishment is awarded to breast centers for achieving high practice standards after peer-review evaluations are conducted in each breast imaging modality by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. The accreditation is for three years.
