You help put the heart in our Home. We hope you will join us on Thursday, November 5 at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate the groundbreaking for a sacred home for those with a short time to live.
The Methodist Residential Hospice will integrate the very best of faith, health and compassion for all ages. It will be a place where patients of all ages and their families will receive the most respectful, compassionate and dignifed care and comfort during the last stage of life.
It will be a place where patients who have no one to care for them, no home to return to or who have symptoms too complex for the family to manage at home will receive the most respectful and compassionate care and comfort during the last stage of life.
Each patient will be cared for in a peaceful, homelike setting in one of 30 spacious patient rooms. Also on site will be a chapel, a conference room, family gathering areas, gardens and walking paths. Patientsmay bring with them all of the comforts of home to personalize their rooms and make their last days as close to home as possible. Pets, personalmementos, photos and music will be welcome and encouraged.
Specialized equipment will allow a number of the rooms to be converted to care for infants and children. Methodist Healthcare is contributing $2 million toward the $9 million construction cost for the facility, and donations from the community will help to complete the project.
We welcome the opportunity to share with you the importance of our Hospice Residence. Call 901.516.1727 by November 2 to RSVP.
