Grants, Scholarships, & Humanitarian

RESEARCH GRANT PROPOSALS

Methodist Healthcare Foundation accepts research grant proposals for biannual review in April and November. To be eligible for a grant, the research must focus on clinical research or health outcomes related to the mission, goals and strategic plan of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare.  Priority will be given to projects that support areas of most interest to MLH such as Neuroscience, Transplantation, Cancer, Patient Safety, Quality of Care and Nursing Excellence and Education.  Applicants must be a member of the MLH medical staff or a MLH Associate in good standing.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Methodist Healthcare Foundation offers scholarships to children of Methodist Le Bohneur Healthcare full-time associates that are either high school seniors or currently attending college. Applications will available and considered annually in beginning in February.

HUMANITARIAN FUND

The Humanitarian Fund provides assistance to Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare associates in times of crisis. Please review the guidelines and printable application.

FRANCIS H. COLE THORACIC SCHOLARSHIP

The Francis H. Cole Thoracic Scholar program is a one-year fellowship in advanced thoracic surgery, intended to precede of follow a formal cardiothoracic residency program. Emphasis includes bronchoplastic procedures, complex pulmonary resections, esophageal surgery for benign and malignant disease, minimally invasive thoracic surgery, emphysema surgery, and palliative airway management via laser surgery, brachytherapy, or tracheal resection.
